Binoculars

Kowa’s roof prism binoculars use the Schmidt-Pechan prism. One surface of the Pechan prism does not provide total reflection, so we have applied a highly reflective multi-coating called C3 coating. This allows for a higher reflectivity than with silver or optically enhanced aluminum, offering a reflectance of 99% or higher across the entire visible spectrum (400 to 700 nm). Not only does this provide bright and sharp images, but accurate color reproduction is also achieved. Furthermore, the roof prism of the Schmidt prism is phase coated to prevent the loss of contrast and image resolution.

Spotting Scopes

TSN 600 Series

The PROMINAR models (TSN-603/604) with an XD objective lens are available for those who seek higher optical performance.

All lenses, prisms, and dustproof glass are fully multicoated, ensuring sharp images and a clear visual range.

These scopes weigh less than 745g (25-26 oz) but are tough enough to withstand the most adverse conditions.

The housing is waterproof to JIS* Protection Class 7** and filled with dry nitrogen gas to prevent the lens from fogging.
 

TSN 660 Series

The lens has more than 120% the light gathering capability of a 60mm objective lens, ensuring a bright field of view for observation.

The PROMINAR models (TSN-663/664) with XD objective lenses are available for those who seek higher optical performance.
